the truth
Half Antipodean, half British blues musician Patch Brown has lived most of his life with no fixed address. A wanderer, seeker and storyteller, Brown spent his younger years living in the attic of an old blues pub in London’s West End. It was there he met R.L Burnside, Lazy Lester and got to sit in with Big Joe Louis and members of the Yardbirds. This was said to be ‘The University Of The Blues’. A fascination with Blues Mythology and the elusive characters including Howlin’ Wolf, Lightning Hopkins and Muddy Waters, Brown eventually started performing solo as ‘Hellhound Brown’ after his long time blues band ‘The Hellhounds’ dis-banded. Brown currently lives in Australia and continues to traverse the globe sharing his stories and keeping the mysterious spirit of the blues alive.
